Sunday Morning at Cahoon 9/30/12
Fished Lake Cahoon on Sunday Morning for a half day. It was nice to see a couple of C.C members at the bait shop. I set out for Lake Meade, but the ramp was crowded, so I went to Cahoon where no boats were waiting to launch. I caught 21 crappie, and only half-a-dozen were under 10". I also lost 2 good-sized ones right beside the boat. I think one would have gone 13". I got a good look at him as he lay stunned on the water surface for a Milli-second, before he realized his freedom. (but aren't they always bigger when they get away?)

I caught about 5 trolling in the morning, then it went slack for an hour, and I tried the back of some coves where the water rises from 24 to 10 FOW, and I found some nicer fish suspended in the shade, about 6' down.

They liked blue ice and money color jigs. I caught a few casting, and a few by pushing jigs ahead of the boat.

I also caught a few bream:

As a bonus the fog lifted, and it was a beautiful day:

That's my story, and I'm sticking with it!
Good luck everyone,
