Went out Saturday from 7:30 - 2:00 and caught about 30 dinks and one keeper. Still not sure where those bigger fish are of if they exist. Started out fishing closer to the dam and ended up by the beach. Fished a few places in between. Not sure where they bigger fish are at, the water temp was 67 degrees. Caught most of the fish off of some deeper points and mouths of coves.
Exact same result I had on Saturday. I spent most of my time across from the beach. I caught two in Indian Creek. I didn't try hard there. I was using minnows and about 13-18 ft deep. I tried various depths and no larger fish this time. Nonetheless, it was beautiful being out. I did have a turkey fly past me twice. Our maker had a sense of humor when he made turkeys. I think he some left over parts and the most clumsy shape and called it turkey. It is a wonder they even fly.
I saw two turkeys on the dam when I was going to the launch. Yes, the weather was nice out. I'm hoping to get out again this coming weekend, although not sure where I want to try next.
