Anyone been to Missy layley?

Wondered if the fall bite is on yet

We went for a few hrs. on Sat. night and caught 3 dinks. We talked to a guy who had been out there all day and he had 22 but he said they were only 9" or so. He said most of them he caught deep...around 20 ft. or so.

We went Sun. for about 5 hrs. and didn't even get a bite. Talked to another guy that said they (3 guys in the boat) were out there for 9 hrs. and only caught 3 fish.

Sat. night was descent conditions but just not much action.
Sun. it was pretty windy to try and fish the main lake so we stuck to the coves most of the time without a single bite. Water temp was around 67 degrees. We fished with minnows...crappie minnows Sat. night and crappie and bass minnows on Sun.

BTW...I'm guessing the water level to be about 8-10" above summer pool right now.
Was quite a bit of debris floating around Sat. evening...by Sun. most of the debris was gone.

Two weeks ago we caught about a dozen and they were still biting when we had to leave. These were caught on a hump about 6' deep with deeper water on 3 sides.

I got out Sunday caught 1 11 inches and all the rest dinks

Thinking about going this weekend. Is the bite getting any better?
