Minnesota fishing
I am thinking about a trip to Minnesota next year. Does anyone have any recommendations, experience with any good places? I did the boundary waters canoe trip to Ely when I was a younger man, but would like to find a cabin with some good fishing this time around.

There are a number of good lakes around Bimidji with reasonably priced cabins, used to up there every September. If you are interested in going north I would recomend going to the Chippewa Flowage in northern Wisconsin, the fishing is just as good maybe better, my wife & I go in May and September. The flowage is 17,000 acres with 13,000 acres of water bordering a national forest and is 90% undeveloped. If you are interested PM me and I can send you some links for both locations.
Just got back from a Wisconsin fall bite and am ready for an Indiana fall bite. Taking a buddy out Sunday who has never crappie fished and am going to demonstrate spidder rigging. He's an ol river fisherman and this is going to be totally off the wall to him. Hopin to get him hooked up with three fish at once. Hey got to go I'm getting excited about fishin, probable going to have to go sit in the boat awhile.

Moose Lake near Ely has some awesome late season crappie fishing...giant smallies can be had there too upwards of 7 lbs. and don't forget theres awesome pike, musky, largemouth and walleye too. Fished there some years back and the cabins were very nice.
In Wisconsin, the Turtle Flambeau Flowage area was good too. Very reasonable cabins there.
