I kinda like the B&W as just about every little speck of whatever is below the surface shows up very well, even in bright sunlight. I've noticed that DS screenshots on a PC looked good and you can see the little white specks (aka fish) when viewing the screenshots here and others I've downloaded to my PC, but out on the water I was having a bit of trouble seeing the specks with a dark background, but that could just be me and my eyeballs.
