Another lake that's waiting to happen
It had been a month since my last trip to LCR, so I spent the day working hard to land a total of 19 specks. Two or three were over 10", but my only large fish was a 12" ringer. WT ranged from 79 - 83. The grass is growing--in the worst spots, the finder showed an 8' blanket. With all those lovely hiding places, it will be tough to get on them until cold weather kills the grass. According to a few LCR regulars, the bite is way off for rock, greenies, and crappie. Last weekend the carpsters held a tourney there and several boats came in early with 0.000 fish. This lake holds many nice fish, but it can surely dish out the punishment.
