Ain't fished with a minnow in so long, forgot how to hook em'.....
I hook them thru the lips, then if he still alive after catching the 1st fish I hook him under the dorsal. A lot of minnows you can use twice that way!
I hook em through the eyes, left eye first, that way I catch all the right handed fish
They will live longer hooking them thru the lips from the bottom up. Good short video.

Good video. If I want them to swim up I hook them under the bottom back towards tail. If I want them to swim down I hook them behind the top dorsal fin.Trolling, drifting with a gold hook,I hook them through the lips or the eyes. Fishing with a jig, through the lips!
