3 Tail Jig?

Hey guys!

I've read posts mentioning 3 tail jigs, but I'm totally ignorant about what they are. Can anyone point to a pic or pics of some so I can see what folks are talking about?

Sorry I don't know what a 3 tail jig is! Maybe they use 3 different tails on their jigs as in one type hackle and one marabou and still another kip tail? A jig only has one tail, but maybe 3 colors or 3 kids of material in one tail?

So I can't answer what a 3 tail jig is!

Thanks anyway Skip! Someone here must know what they are, I've seen them mentioned in a few posts.

I live a couple of hours north of you in Waskom, just across the stateline from Shreveport. I know George and Beth Jones from your area.

I know Waskom well. My oldest son has a sister-in-law that lives there. Don't know George and Beth though, but the Bend is so long, plus lots of people live all over this lake.

I will be interested to see what someone means by 3 tails too.

They might be reference to Wally's "NEW" Joker. But it is a plastic bait.

That's probably it. I saw pics of those b4 but didn't make the connection with the 3 tail jigs I read about.

most anybody can tie a jig with 3 or 4 tails on it it can be 4 different color tails if you want them to be but dont see were it would catch fish anymore than a one or two colored tail JMO

"3 tail" or "triple tail" jigs are plastic jigs made by many popular manufacturers.
Just google southern pros triple tail.

Great cast n retrieve lure on UL tackle for those who fish that wAy. Works off it's unique movement, IMO.
One of the best sac fishermen I know uses these almost exclusively.

Very subtle differences in the three sections an hard to imitate tying w/o breaking rules.

But I'm working on it!
