Proud Daddy
Some of you know I spent my summers coaching baseball for about 10yrs and that persistence has paid off. About 3 weeks ago my oldest son went to a KC Royals tryout, there were 3000 others trying their best also. Many think based on the Royals performance it would be easy, well, I'm sorry at that level "it ain't no picnic" This past weekend he went to Arkansas for the 2nd look, 1 of a 100. They only took 3, he was #4. Boo-Hoo right. Not so fast, they found out he hasn't played for a year and asked him to train through a college program for next year. He received a couple offers yesterday from a couple prominent baseball colleges in hopes of advancing his career.:woohoo 9 of 15 off of my team are now playing college baseball . That sure makes me one proud puppy :biggrin Half of these are pitchers, my son is 5'9" and throws 92mph :yikes He can crank it up to 99mph, but control comes into play. All 3 taken threw 96-97mph and already play college ball.
