They're Hammering on Nimrod!
Crappiekeeper and I went out at 10:00 yesterday and caught a double limit of better than average crappie. We found them in 8.5 FOW only 4 feet down suspended under shad. Everything we caught was full of shad! Sun kept popping in and out all day causing different colors to produce at different times but the 1105 GL Midsouth Lime/Chart. Glow on an 1/8 "Pink" jig head produced consistently all day. We were tipping with minnows and using a little extra weight to hold them down. As the sun got overhead the bite slowed down but we looked in 10 to 11 FOW close by and they had moved there and were still at the same depth or maybe a foot deeper. Very easy to fish underneath them. We had a lot of them swim sideways and not even budge the pole.
I've got some good pics but my computer won't let me load them to my Photobucket acct. My acct works on my friends computer but my pics are on mine. I've got to figure out what I've done to my computer.
Looks like it's going to be an awesome Fall Camp at Lake Nimrod!! :)
