Does any one on here have a lowrance finder with the transducer mounted thru the hull on an aluminum boat ? If so do you experience signal problems. Learned that Humming birds finder will not shoot a sonar signal thru the hull reliably.

Why don't you put it on the transom? It's not that big of a deal.

It claims to shoot thru aluminum up to .12" thick with no signal loss...

Not being a smart a$$, but a serious question.... If he mounts in the hull, wouldn't he know where his sonar funnel would be a little better?
The reason I am asking, is that is seems like if it was mounted on a front trolling motor and he fished up front, that he would be on top of his funnel vs. the back of the boat on transom.

This would he determined by where the user actually wants the sonar information coming...
Running down the lake with the big motor needs the xducer in the rear...
Fishing from the front with the TM might , as you indicate, need the xducer on the TM....
He didn't really indicate in his OP....
