Night fishin on Ouachita
Toni Mae and seventh to Crystal springs yesterday evening to fish under the lights. Opted to just fish in our boat slip over my submerged brush. Got lots Of bait fish. We had a big ole shirtnose gar lurk around the lights most of the night. We landed one lil Kentucky bout 2 lbs. crappie were a no show. Our highlight was a unknown fish of unknown size hit my 10' Ozark rod and the fight was on. Toni was first to the rod :yikes which I quickly took from her. We gave it all we could but the 8lb mono was no match. I bet the fish stripped 30 yard easy of my reel. Of course we had loads of fun and turned the lights off at 0230.

Your fishin' partner is a cutie! I know y'all must have had a blast, even though the crappie didn't cooperate. Spending time with Toni Mae is far more rewarding and the memories will last a lifetime. Hope you make it to crappie camp next month. Thanks for the post and the pics! Thumbs Up

Unknown fish that break your line are usually those big Ouachita Stingrays.

Nimrod I think we just might make an appearance. Y'all can all meet Toni Mae "The Tusnami" Fetters
It will be like siting around talking to Jedi lords except not talking about saving the galaxy from oppression but talking about Crappie fishing and whatnot!!!!!
