Another milk crate build thanks to your idea.

I bet milk crates or buckets with or without a few verticle boards will hold fish. I take buckets with boards screwed inside and then add rocks.on the buckets you can even drill holes and add horizontal boards low to prevent turning over. If shallow water lower buckets by the handle or deeper use a line through the handle to place upright. That way only cost is screws.The buckets , boards, and rock can be obtained free most places.

You got it rcc. I am trying to keep cost low too. They just parachute down without problem. I use rocks also for wt. I do the same thing with buckets too just screw or zip boards or zip tie the cane. I can carry 2 buckets of rocks and about 9 buckets of cane and make a pretty good pile very quick. Weekdays are best here to drop stuff as boats traffic is almost nil. Anything to hold the wt. I have used onion sacks and feed sacks to hold the weight too.

Bamboo is just ziptied. That milk crate has the bottom out of it so I am weighting with a concrete block tied to the crate handles.

You're right on parachuting down. Launched the crappie pyramid this morning and it was a beauty going down. Don't have great side imaging pics of it yet, they seemed a little cloudy, but I dead centered the underwater ditch I was trying to hit. Itching to get another pyramid built, but have this crate, a stake bed, and possibly a christmas tree to sink before the next build.

Ha ha I see you are addicted to the drop. Dropping stuff just adds another level to the fishing game. Haven't caught much off mine yet but they haven't been in water long either.
