Cool pic ATM, thanks for sharing.
I remember at Tunica cut off an ole man offering to give someone a tow at daylite, 10 or 12 foot jon boat and just a paddle. The ole man to do the towing had a 7 1/2 horse Sears on a jon boat. He pulled em out that morning and had offered to pull em back in when they were ready.
folks in too big a hurry now a days, times were simple then, werent much sport to it tho, we was fishing for grub!!
Ahhh--the days when I was one year old--those were the good ole days:)
Good picture right there. Back in the 70's I drove redneck chopped VW's and pulled my 16' narrow jon boat behind them. The 6 hp motor rode laying over in the boat on top of a rubber tire. Thanks for the memories.
In 1972, I pulled a Model J Ouchatau behind a Pinto station wagon. Lots of good memories.
I was in 2nd grade... That vw is worth about $15,000.00 now...
That vw beetle was a tough car. I had a 68 and a 71.I used to take my 14 footer with trailer down in a bottom and trotline a slough off the Mississippi River. Always had a couple folks with me so if I got stuck we just picked it up and moved it over! That picture brings back great memories!
OLD GEEZER FISHERMEN NEVER DIE, THEY JUST SMELLED THAT WAY!!
