I bought a Hummingbird 570 DI i would like to be able to transfer it between my boats and be able lower it into the water as i need it.......i am sick and tired of ripping off transducers. any suggestions. if that is possible?

Think about using a old trolling motor mount?
i got a trolling motor mount and made me one!!!!!!! i place it on the side of my boat work fine.
I use PVC fittings to hang my 'ducer over the right-front part of the boat and use my front depthfinder as a portable unit whenever I'm rigging. I mostly longline so the ducer and PVC pipes/fitting are stored in my front livewell until needed.
cabelas and bps both have portable/temp mounts made from aluminum that clamp on the hull, might work for you.
Second and Third what Nimrod and Meatgetter said. Old hand control motor with clamp mount. Take it anywhere.

Here is a link to Basspro maybe this will work for you. I have spent all day trying to figure out how to put a retractable one on my boat. I just bought a new 798 SI HD and I don't want to put it on my trolling motor as I hit stumps ever now and then and it breaks off. A new transducer for my unit is $180.00 and I don't want to replace it. I just replaced a transducer for my 788C. As soon as I get one built I will post pictures.
