Example why stop, empty, and dry won't stop Zebra Mussels

I beg to differ! Drain, clean, dry WILL STOP THAT USER from transferring zebra mussels to other bodies of water. There may well be other methods of transferring them but if EVERY boater cleans, drains and dries after each body of water it will prevent THAT PERSON/WATERCRAFT from transferring them to another body of water.
Ignorance of the law is absolutely no excuse but, I am not naive enough to think this does not and will not happen quite frequently. That is why they put signs up at each boat ramp on an infected body of water! READ THE DAMN SIGNS!! The signs are not there for aesthetics!

I know they are coming and they will be in every body of water in Kansas at some point but that does not mean we can just throw our hands up in the air and give up!
I dont have the answer to prevent their spread and neither does anyone else that I know of but we must all do our part in helping prevent the spread. Ignorant people exist in droves and there is not much we can do about that other than clean up the gene pool but that is a whole different thread altogether! :bash
