Kansas Weather Venting Post
Ah, it's not that bad, but bad time for me and fishing this past weekend. Decided to try night fishing at El Dorado Sat night even though we knew there was a chance of storms. Looked at the radar and saw storms around, but didn't think they would amount to anything. Well, that was the first mistake. Got to El Dorado around 8:30 sat evening and here comes the rain and wind. My dad (Bodyman50) made the drive down from Salina and we stayed in the truck until Midnight and rain never did end nor did it look to be clearing up so we both went home grumpy. Was glad to finally see some people get some much needed moisture so I shouldn't be that upset.
My wife said why don't we take our youngest out on the boat. I thought it was a great idea and left for El Dorado again yesterday afternoon around 5:30. Got to the lake and it was blowing pretty good out of the NE and of course I wanted to fish the western side of the lake and with my daughter being the first time on the boat I thought I better not subject her to the decent waves I saw. Finally put up north in the river and had fun afterall. I was the only one that fished and jigged some trees and found two decent White Bass that were hungry, but that was it. Seeing my two year old daughter have fun on the boat for her first time out turned the otherwise bad weekend into a great one. Hope to get back over there soon!
