Will a transducer that is designed to go on the transom also work on the trolling motor? I have all the brackets, clamps, etc. to mount a transducer on my front trolling motor, I am just unsure if I need to buy the actual trolling motor style transducer. Thanks in advance for the info!
Yes they will work if you have the trolling motor kit. Here is a link to HB website with the adapter kits.

If you got a new HB, and haven't installed the TD yet, call HB customer service and they will swap what ya got for what ya want (TD's) for postage. Any decent sporting goods or marine dealer will have the hose clamp and bracket you need to mount the skimmer type TD on the TM. If you got a Low, same bracket will work in most cases, but not always.
