New member. I'd like some information about fishing in the Brandon-Plant City area.

Hi all,

Just signed up here today. I've been in Florida a few years but haven't done any fishing. I recently broke out my rods, reels and tackle boxes and decided to get back to it.
I live in Valrico, about 20 miles west of Tampa. I'm wondering if anyone here has any information about good places to fish for crappie and/or bass in this area.
I'm going to be hooking up with someone with a 17' tri hull and a 70 hp motor so I'll be able to go to the larger lakes.
I don't mind driving up to an hour away so I'm sure you guys must know some good spots.

Yep, Fishin 813 and Adjust555 should be along shortly. Might want to check out fishergirls review of Lake Manatee up top in the Lake/campground review.

Oh, and welcome aboard and hope you can make a slabfest or 2 this fall/winter.
