I pulled up at the ramp just after daylight this morning, the sun was just barely peeking over the trees. I was looking forward to having the lake to myself so I could sink a couple of tree limbs that I have been saving for just such an occasion. After I put my gear in the boat and undid my straps, I looked up and here comes a local that must have saw me coming in with the brush in my boat. "Here we go," I said to myself!
I decided to wait awhile to sink the brush, so I pulled out the old trusty B&M 10' and jigged around a couple of old brush piles I had found a couple weeks ago. I immediately landed a 2 pounder and another nice keeper, with an audience about 75 yards away! After leaving that spot, I moved to another brush pile and guess who shows up?
Well, I finally dedided to talk to the guy and come to find out, I was mostly fishing his brush piles! After I realized what a jerk I was, I told him where I was planning on sinking the brush and he pointed me in the direction of about 7 or 8 more hot spots! Thanks to him I ended up with a pretty nice limit and a good knowledge of where to go next time i'm in that area. Thank God for locals and giving them the patience to deal with guys like me!
