Baiting with soured grain and fishing with liver.

There are no skunks fishing with me.nonono Took a little effort but Ski Trip just got up graded a notch. Even blind sows can find a few acorns as they say.:biggrin Here are a few photos from this morning.

I use a #1 or 2 Eagle Claw bait holder. Hook is small but works great. We have caught a lot over 10 lbs on it and biggest in the 30's. Still small enough to keep small fish from robbing bait to much. Saves on bait too because it takes less bait to cover it.

i have used sour peanuts as they wer easy to git shelled from a peanut prossing plant and the rosted ones seams to be better . guess corn or wheat might be ok to . what kind of grain do you use .

Wheat or corn works well. I use a mixture of scrap (floor sweepings) from a mill which contains a mixture of whole corn, ground feeds and pellets. I sour it in buckets of water.
