"Bout time! Glad they chose SWLR, instead of the wetland in NLR.
Hot diggety dog!! :crazy:No more driving to Springfield or Memphis! Can't wait to see that sucker open! Thanks to Johnny Morris and everyone else who had a hand in this! :Hands Clapping
I'll have to see it to believe it, how long they been talkin about this, do hope it is true though, that would be great!
We're getting an Academy up here. Construction has been started so they say. I hate getting my hopes up too much.
NLR screwed up that deal. Any big op like BP is going to want breaks and they deserve it. That is wasted swamp land they were asking for, still nothing there and never will be.
They chose a smart side of LR this time. SW is the sportsman side of town, after all, that is the way to the majority of lakes LR sportsmen head to.
Congrats LR, you finally get one eight years after I move out.
I love the Kansas City metro. I have two Bass Pros and a Cabela's. One BP is less than 20 min, the other 35, Cabela's is 45 minutes away.
Not surprised since Cabela's came to Rogers, AR. That place opens this summer, no other date than that. I've not checked recently but I'm guessing they will open for Father's Day!!! I'll be down in Hot Springs so won't know till I get back to Van Buren. Glad one of the hospitals I work at is the Mercy Medical Center of Rogers, AR (Formerly St. Mary's). Once Cabela's does open that hospital is going to need my services pretty much every day!
This is good BUT, right now I can order on line and pay no sales taxes because there is no store in Arkansas. I can get items delivered right to my house and the shipping is less than the sales tax would be and I don't have to spend money on gas plus there are items in the catalog that are no in the store plus I have a Bass Pro Visa which earns points and I can redeem the points to pay for my shippin. Now all that being said I am still glad they are coming to Arkansas because of the Jobs that it will create , both building the store and jobs in the store.
the report I read said its suppose to be open by christmas of 2013 and its been a long time coming to glad to see it finaly being bult here in the natural state.
