I have only crappie fished there but have spoke to several that said to bluegill fish you need to fish around the banks and out just a little. Look for what little stickup they have. Also look for the mossy to weedy bank areas. The people at the bait house at the ramp may also be able to help you on some spots as well. Good luck!
Ps. They have a motor restriction on this lake. I had to use the trolling motor the whole time.
I am a little late with a reply, but if you head back over there.....Try the first long cove on the left past the power line. The gills should be moving off of the banks into deeper water.
If you are running electronics, I catch a lot of bigger fish on the edge of the dropoff on the RH side of the lake, as you are leaving the ramp. 400 yards from the ramp there is a dock on a point, it usually has a white pontoon moored there. Anywhere within 50 yards of that dock should work well.
On down toward the dam, on the RH side, there is a stretch of bank about 200 yards long that holds good numbers of gills as well. Try a drop shot rig as well.
Thanks for all the help. We went Friday and the girls had alot of fun. They didn't catch alot but enough to call it a nice trip. We will be going back next week and should do better with your help. Thanks again.
