I have heard MDC is going to make Crawdads illegal for bait. Can anyone confirm this? Also, does that mean it is also illegal to harvest them by to eat?

As I understand it,,,,,, they ARE NOT making cradads illegal for bait, they ARE making it illegal for crawdads to be SOLD AS BAIT-- you will still be able to sell them for food, you can raise and harvest your own for food or bait, you just can't SELL them FOR BAIT. Meanwhile they have put this regulation on hold until I believe September? due to the controversy it stirred up.
There is some crawdad in Michigan "Rust" something that I think is an invasive species. It's harder than hell to find 'em up there for fishing. Still get a boat load to eat though!
Thanks for the clarification
Don't be quoting me :) I'm not official LOL--- It should be posted on MDC website and I know it's on Missourioutback.com
