You can try dogfood and old bacon in some pantiehoes, let the bacon sit in the sun for a couple of hours before putting it in the water. Old fosh fillets work to!
In florida we use "hog finisher" and broadcast around a spot, do 5+ and then go back to number 1 and start fishing. Works good and is legal.
Thanks for the info. may try the hog finisher. I WAS ALSO TOLD TO SOUR SOME GRAIN LIKE MILO ARE SOMETHING SIMILAR.
best I've used is range cubes that u can get at any farm supply store,it will cost about 10$ per 50lb bag-I go thru several bags per summer. If you will soak corn in a bucket for about 2weeks it will work to-I started using the cubes because there was no mess
I've used everything from the previous day's fish fillets to range cubs, soured corn/soy mix, cracked corn, and/or cans of dog or cat food dumped out of the can. IMO, the fish fillets produced my most memorable evening of catfishing. We hauled in channel after channel out of 10-12 fow where a huge cedar was sunk on it's side. Some were 15-18#, we only kept a dozen of the 3-7# class fish and released the rest.
chicken livers ,hot dogs, limburger cheese, plain dry oatmeal, minnow scales , ground up frog guts and heads minus the leggs lol
these are a few of my favorite things lol
Any of ya tried the rice. kcbrown how did ya do the fish fillets just let em sour

"Chum and they will come"
I use scrap grain / feed soured in buckets of water. I dump several buckets a week on my favorite holes on drop offs next to cover (stumps, pallets, log piles). I used to buy sweet feed pellets (horse feed) and pour it in straight from the bags. I get a better deal on scrap feed now.
Just gettingready to start up this summer. Here are some results from old posts of mine. It works!
