Pops and I had a good day

Got to the pond about 8:30 (fished until 3:00) and started tearing them up right off the bat. We were using crickets and beemoths, fishing about 5' deep which put us just above the weedline. Dad had a blast, and I enjoyed watching him. Any day I can spend with dad (who's 88) is a good day. I was closest to the bait and stringer, so I was dealing with his fish and bait needs, he said "you're gonna spoil me" and I told him I remembered many days when I was a kid that he did the same for me.

He dropped me off, and I cleaned the fish. We had between 50-55 with most of them being between 8-9", a couple 10", and about half a dozen 7"ers.

Thanks all! I'm hoping we can make it out again this week, supposed to cool way down (60-70's). Got a brother coming up from Florida this summer, and planning a family fish fry http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/s...atdrink020.gif Neither of us get to fish as much as we'd like (but who does?), so when we get to go together it's that much better.
