It is not that weave short grub, this is the Granny Weave. It's of course a fly pattern I have used to do the jig. It's in Advanced Tying on FAOL and is actually a stonefly that I got it from. Here is the link and it is a bit of a mind bender, LOL!

Like it Skip, glad to see you crossing over to the cramp finger side of tying. Did a few that way, glad you posted the link, I had lost it.
Here are some other things that can be done with that same thing, I think it is the same anyway. I can't tell for sure if it is but if it is there is a faster way to tie them.

Again, I can't tell for sure if that is the same technique or not but it looks like it is. The crochet hook makes it go pretty fast once you get the hang of it.
