I fished 16 days out of 20 so far this month. Try'n to decide whether to go this morning or not. Garden is worked out and fishing should be extra good with front passing through. If I go maybe it will rain.Rofl

My trucks in the driveway with a big ole flat from my last trip and I just worked a 12 hr shift, so the crappie are safe today.
Go ahead, maybe it'll rain.
We need the rain. Gogogogogogo!
I think you answered your own question. You ain't there yet!!!!!:fish
Well I went, no it did not rain.:dono Bought some crickets and went after them Gills. Caught only 25 good ones and finally found them about same time cricket cage was empty. :fishNow I know why Xring was cussin and stomp'n everytime he tried to bait his hook last Friday.rotfl I would get 5 or 6 when I shook the tube and 1/2 of them jumped in the lake or hid in my boat. If I ever get crickets again I may be losing my mind. :crazy:Worms are sure nasty but atleast I ain't chasing them all over the boat.White Flag Icon
Just stick to crappie, a jig pole in one hand and a tube or "buckwheat" tied on the end. Or you could take a kid with you and have them chase the crickets down. When I was a little runt I would walk behind the mower while dad was cutting the grass and snatch them things up and throw them in the basket. The next day we'd go off to the lake and catch a big mess of bream. They were a whole lot easier to catch when I as 9 or 10 years old though. I don't know if it was because I was closer to the ground, more limber, or quicker Rofl probably a combination of all three.
