From what I have heard fishing has been slow. A lot of people have been fshing around the slips at the marinas but with the holiday coming that will not work out very well. I was there this week and the water is really high for this time of year. If you are not familiar be careful.
Creekslick if your like me you fish when you can not when you want to, so I understand wanting to nightstalk if your wanting to fish this weekend. But I will warn you Greers Ferry and Lake Hamilton are two awful places to be on a busy weekend especially fishing. You will have a combination of idots from drunks to people with new boats on new water. All of this will be going on day and night. I would try and stay mobile and run some jugs or something. If you do decide to nightstalk try and find a somewhat secluded place so you dont get run over. Above all else keep the lights ready and be ready to get out of the way of the idiots.
If I were you, I'd try some for some trout on the little red. Maybe a little bit more relaxed crowd.
Any particular part of the lake you are thinking about heading to? It is a big ol place! I am familiar with the Sugarloaf Mountain and campground area and Fairfield Bay area and it can be pretty busy even into the evening. I try my best to avoid this lake once the summer season starts (Memorial weekend thru Labor Day) but my wife has family there so it is somewhat of a requirement to be there on some weekends. I dont even think about trying to do any fishing unless it is for white bass or walleye early in the morning before the lake fills up.(Just to keep the equipment from getting cobwebs until I can crappie fish)Quote:

I have night stalked Greers Ferry several time just not this year. Never fish in the main part of the lake always fish cove with standing timber.
