Kids Tourney

Need to know if there would be any interest in a cranking tourney center around the kids.

Thinking about last weekend in July, 28th. Have a couple different age group, maybe 10 and under and 11-17. The younger group getting more help from the grown ups and old group doing it mostly themselves. No entry fees, just a fun day on the water, weigh-in and a pinic to follow.

To put it together will take some effort and we have Slabs blessing to use the Crappie.com name to promote it. Just need to know if we have enuff interest to get it in the works, if so we can choose a lake and line up the facilities and all. Am thinking either Sardis or Enid, either lake the kids will cath alot of fish and have a good time.

What time is the weigh in? Bwahahahahaha.

I'll be there if there's any way possible.

Hey WB aint you got a GPS to find those weigh in locations? lol I think they come with a digital clock read out as well. Hahahahahaha, I think this story will continue to carry on for a long time coming, tough luck though, bet those kids were psyched about those big fish, I know I would have been.

This tourny for kids sounds like a good step in the right direction.

I say the heck with the money side of the fj. Maybe presale tshrits and hats if money needs to be raised for permits etc.

I want the FJs to continue as they are and include kids in them as well but thought this would be an awesome way to get even some little ones on the water with us. Can you see Gator's young en holding a 2 pounder to have her pic made, this is seperate but after this weekend there was such a cry out for the kids that I thought it would be good to focus on them and them alone, could become an annual deal if the interest is there. Looking for 20 boats to commit and I will put it together.

Looking hard at July 28th, the FJ tourney is the 21st on Sardis. MCC will be done in June so no conflict there and hope we can get some of those guys with kids to fesh with us.

To, by commit I do understand that things come up and all, just looking to see the interest level.

I think the girls would love it... You know we don't have anything for August... Just saying.

Can you not do the last weekend in July, those weekends in Aug alot of folks seem to hit the road before school starts. Not rock solid on the date so lets see what works. Our Championship maybe in August, might could do this in August and then the Championship in September but that decision is not mine for sure, just a thought.
