Making your own Pill head jigs

well I was running low on pill heads so I decided to make some from ballheads.

Here's my tools

1/16th oz ball heads

Using the underside of the pliers - hook eye up - line it up and squeeze

Now turn the jig Hook and put the hook eye down and squeeze just enough to even it out

Good use of what you have. The finished products look very good. :)

I bought some smooth jaw pliers after I bought 2400 heads for s guy on ebay years ago and all of them were loose so that was a way to make them tight and I still have the pliers and they can come in handy.

Nice! But what were the needle nose for? JK. Thinking I'll try this also, a good way to make pill heads for 3-D eyes!

I made some but used hammer and anvil. Worked pretty good but could never tell a differance catching fish......use Round or Minnow Heads all the time now.

The needle nose worked but the wire cutters were better. I tried a 1/32 oz ball head with the needle nose and they were fine for those.

I wanted this style of jig but with 8 different molds now I didn't want to buy another .......... lol just got a 1/16 oz horse or pony head mold and the madness continues lol

glad to share - I have alot of molds but didn't want to have to buy a pill head with assorted sizes when I only use the 1/32nd and 1/16th heads. I can sit in front of the tube on a really rainy day and make up a bunch of them.

That is an awesome tip Fatman. I usually buy mine from Herb aka Nightprowler here on the forums. Might try a few tomorrow. I love the nice erractic action of the pillheads. Great post!
