Have you ever?
Was out for just an evening boat ride yesterday and saw a fish swimming near the surface with its dorsal fin out of the water. Checking to see if it was a shark :biggrin I was surprised to see a 14-15 inch crappie darting away. This was in 10 to 12 ft. of water. Do you suppose the "super moon" brought this behavior on?

I have noticed this several times on the home lake. It does happen. Don't know what triggers it.

Can't say I've ever seen that. I'm like you, wonder what caused em to act that way.

Saw several doing this at Piney Bay week before last. I've been fishing there for over thirty years and have never saw it before.

I was fishing with a cousin on Greeson last Fall in about 25' of water. A crappie about the same size came up and inspected her cork. If I had of reacted in time, I could have netted it. It took me a few seconds to realize what was going on. We started fishing about 5' deep instead of 15 to 20 and wore them out.
