hb 365i problem
my unit is 2yrs old, transducer mounted on trolling motor. when you turn it has been working fine, now it works for a little while and acts like it freezes up. when your sitting in say 10ft of water for example it will work just fine for a little while, then it messes up. it has a split screen on it on the left side of yhe screen you have what they call sonar view , on the right side is what they call real time sonar window or as they call it (rts). the problem is on the left side when it messes up it shows 0.6 ft, but on the right side it shows 10ft. the left side is where you see more define botttom when it works, now it looks like your sitting on the ramp.sometimes it will start to work right for a few seconds then it quits and goes back to showing 0.6ft. does not matter if trolling motor is running or not. thanks for any ideas and help

Does this only happen in shallow water (you mentioned 10 feet)?
If so, than a software update may help.
If not, than you may have damaged the transducer, transducer cable or the transducer. The problem could also be internal in the unit itself. See if there is someone that you know that is running a Humminbird unit and would allow you to test your 365i on their boat to see if the problem is in your unit or transducer. This does not have to be another 365i unit as most use the same 200/83kHz sonar (even the Si units).
