My friend and I made a trip to Lake Lacygne this morning to try and pick up a few Wipers. Day started really tuff. On the water shortly after 6am...caught maybe 3-4 small fish by 9:30 - 10:00. Marked fish here and there but bait fish schools were really scattered. That crazy east wind yesterday then north wind today made things challenging.
Finally around 11:30-12:00 we found a good group of fish...lot's of motoring around watcing the Lowrance! Had a solid hour...hour and a half of pretty non-stop action. Wish I had a photo of my electronics as the screen was full of feeding Wiper.
I lost track of our fish count...but it turned into a really good day with a lot of 3-4lb fish. No monster fish today.
Spoons caught all our nice fish. We had very little success on sassy shad, rattle traps, crankbaits or curly tails...just a few small fish here and there on those.
Also caught one striper today...probably about 2lbs. Caught 2 out there now this year and had never caught them there before.
