I have a 15 hp 4 stroke Suzuki. Where is the filter located? The filter I got looks like it would fit my Honda 4 wheeler. It is a paper cartridge, not a screw on filter.

my merc 4 stroke 115 has an automotive-style screw in? Looks like a "short" automotive oil filter or one that I would put on my cub cadet.
This is apaper type filter. It fits inside something????Looks kinda like a big gas filter.Quote:

Yep. Took the cowling off and found the filter spot. The dealer wanted 80 bucks and it only holds quart of oil. Man o man.
