Have you ever made any structure out of cane poles and put them out at the lake? we have a ton of them dang things growing on the edge of one of our pastures and we have some bags of quick crete thats been under the barn for a year or two. I was just wondering if a five gallon bucket filled with concrete would sink a 7 or 8 foot structure to put out in the middle to fish this summer

Don't fill it up, bout a third full will work. Or make a mold from a plastic dishpan... Easy to reuse, very cheap. Put 6 to 10 pieces of cane in each bucket... Works wonders in a lake lacking deep structure. I made one from an old road sign post. Just shoved 12 pieces of cane in the existing holes and the post weights it down very well

Its an excellent idea, got prolly 30 cedars that are already cut down on the edge of the pasture here that need to be set out. There are some blocks of concrete with rebar in them to tie to all over the lake bottom on the Scuna side, need to gather some of em up.
