On a local freesite I asked for lead nobody wanted. This guy emailed me saying he has 20-30 pounds. I'm thinking Holy Crud! I can make a bunch of 1/16oz lead head jigs with that much. Got to his house and he pointed to a corner of his garage and said 'there's your lead" Ahh, either this dude is superman or he can't guess weight. Weighed it when I got home. 200 lbs of lead!!! What in the heck am I going to do with that much lead! :yikes

Build a sailboat, duck decoy anchors, saltwater weights.
Trade for Jigheads you don't have!!!!!!!!!! I just recently traded 25 horsehead jigs w split rings and blades for 10 lbs. pure lead. Great way for you to get a bunch of jigs and not have to buy the molds to pour them.

From your description it sounds like tire weight. Pure a couple twists back and forth it comes right off. I'm seriously considering getting a BNH testing meter to test for hardness, pure is listed at 5 on the scale.
