Hi Noah,
Both can be good so it is up to you. One question to ask is where are you staying? Most resorts near the lake will likely be close to full if not full this weekend. There are a few hotels in Aurora close to Jonathan but they may be booked as well. And you might be able to get a room in Murray to be close to Blood. Both bays can be good but you also need some idea how you want to fish. Both of the bays mentioned can be tough if you don't know where cover is located. You can drift the bays and luck into some fish too. Hopefully you guys have been researching the area. Some people think they can just launch their boat and the crappie will be jumping in over the sides. The worst thing you can do is show up at a lake this big, be overwhelmed, and not know where to start and get disgusted.

We are just coming down for the day. I have a place at Nolin so we will go back there Friday Night. I am putting in at Wildcat so I thought I would troll the shallows and see what I could come up with.
You will likely be fishing Blood then. It sounds like your game plan is a good one. I have been finding them scattered from 3 to 20 feet deep. Scattered has been the key. Keep working and culling the 9.999 inch fish and you just might likely end up with a mess. One thing a friend and I have noticed is how black/chartreuse jig bodies have been working better than any other colors. At least that is for us. We both have used that color on regular jig heads, roadrunners, etc. Of course that could change tomorrow. Minnows are catching them as well.
Good luck!
One other tip. Since you are launching at Wildcat I would get there early to get a parking spot otherwise you will end up parking somewhere between the ramp and Murray! Rofl
Thanks for the tips... It is much appreciated. Happy Fishing!!!
