Brevard has not been good this year due to the flooding at the beginning of the season.
My old faithful holes haven't produced anything, even after the flooding went down.
Myself, I have returned to saltwater fishing (ain't doing too good there either)...........
Thanks Phantom, A little discouraging. If your hitting the flats try across from The FPL plant in Pt St John. The east bank has a nice school of reds, slot size to mid 30 inchers
Danny thats my lil bro Doug :)
If its one thing he knows its about the ICW across the street from his hood :)
Good luck this summer in the salt Danny, give us a yell when its time for ya to find your way back home to them specks. Be safe out there!
Ya ever run the Canaveral Bouy line on flat days looking for tripletails and brown bombers? I realize your boat ain't the deepest but should be fine on flat days.
Have also had a blast fishin under the docks at Canaveral, never knew what you was gonna pull out from under them. just gotta watch and stay back the posted distance or the fellers with them fancy flashing lights will pay ya a visit.
Yeah Doug, Stu = Finest Kind ! ! ! ! !
If your kin to him = gotta be good folk (Chris too) ! !
Appreciate the tip (reds), don't know when I'll get over there,
got plenty of honey-do's in the works, am just kicking back
these days (off work), catching up around the house.
Filled the boat up today ($4.85 pr gal, mid-grade, non-ethanol) = $43.00 = 9 gal (give me a break) ! ! ! !
am starting to feel this gas crunch thing now .....
Mike, I generally only make it to the Port bout once a year, and that has already happened = NADA.
Had I had a productive day, then, of course I'd of returned, etc......
Used to go over there frequently, years ago, not much anymore ....
Think I only been out twice since I came back to salt, both times = NADA..........
Just went to Whale Tail (ML) Sunday (or was that Sat ???) wind predicted to be 5-7 mph,
my wind meter measured it @ 11 mph = not too fun, but, was out and just enjoyed being
down there, etc......
Stu, will be back next cold front (Nov-Dec) if they don't cancel Fall/Winter next year ..........
P.S.-> Doug, here's the saltwater forum I hang out in over here = good guys -->

I hear ya. I used to be in Edgewater flounder gigging every Friday ans Saturday night of July thru September and Oak Hill every Saturday and Sunday night shrimping January thru March and inSouth Carolina several times a year hunting and then fishing the lagoon and port all summer. But with gas up and all the pressure on them fish the last 8 or so years I stay in my backyard playin on Monroe and the river. Sure wish the gas would drop and the bottom fishing opened again so most of them guys would head bsck offshore.
