Got the starter replaced and I'm raring to go. I'm thinking of putting in at the Pump Station ramp about 0830 -0900. Anybody want to go along?

Hope to see ya. I'll be in my 18' Sweetwater Challenger poonton boat. Good luck to you too.
Good luck Hal and Chris. Yall let us know how ya did. ;)
Hope Hal did better than i did. We ended up getting a later start than i would've liked. We hit the water about 9 and fished till the battery went down on me. We pulled 40+ dinks with only two keepers. I tried everything i know to find some bigger fish:dono. But it just wasn't meant to be today. We did have fun and the wife caught a really nice sunburn:yikes. Maybe she'll take me up on the next time i offer sunscreen.
I didn't do too well either. I got in the water about 0915 and motored over to the cove across the lake from the Pump Station. Spent about an hour there & caught one little blue gill.
I then went out of there to find the wind had picked up considerably. Made it tough to stay on any one spot especially being in a pontoon boat. Finally found a spot where the wind wasn't too bad up near the ski club area. This was around 1 PM. Got up next to a blown down and some low hanging branches to find a whole school of crappie.
When I caught the first one I could see at least 8 or 10 following it up to the surface. Only problem they were ALL nine inches long. I mean almost everyone I pulled in was nine inches long with the exception of a couple of black crappie that were 8" long. There for a moment I thought I was catching the same fish over and over again. I really thought I was when I decided to look closely at one of the fish and noticed it had places in it's lip where it had been caught before.
All in all I caught 1 blue gill, one stripe, and about 15 to 20 dink size crappie. No keepers but had a good day on the water. At least it was better than work. Maybe next Friday after work I'll have better luck.
