Ok. While we're talking about sucky taxes. MS sales tax is 7%, right? How come when I stopped in Hernando and bought some frosty beverages from the gas station I was charged 9.5%? The receipt didn't mention a cold frosty beverage tax

I knew that they jacked you on fast food, but this was a gas station. Did I get hit with a gas station tax, a cold frosty beverage tax, or perhaps a superior crappie fisherman tax?
A LOT of places around Southaven charge more than 7%; and I'm not talking about the tourism tax. It's so prevalent I've stopped complaining. And the cashier just looks at you like you're from outer space. I think some of the little sheet heads are doing it to pad their profits.
