Carb Problem

I bought a G3 yesterady that i've been trying out for about a week. Guy told me about this and offered to fix it if it doens'g go away with gas treatment. When you go from idle to full speed abut every 4 out of 10 times it acts like it is choking down and will go dead. If you ease into it and let it "catch up" it will go fine.
Thsi si a Yamaha 2 stroke, 2007 model. Has only been used about 20- 25 times. Do you think the carbs are just gummed up or possible ethanol deposits?

I put Sea Foam in it last week when I picked it up to try out and have ran about a tank of fuel through it. Seems to be getting better but I don't want to miss getting it fixed by the seller either. Thoughts?

No ethenol deposits , that crap just draws moisture, sounds like it could be something , (varnish or what ever) floating in one of the float bowls, may go away but I would have the carbs checked, cleaned to make sure something isn't blocking one of the high speed jets.

the seller offered to fix it, let him fix it or get him to agree to reduce the price by the cost of the repair if possible.

Ethanol does draw moisture into the gas and then it turn's onto a varnish like substance and gunk's up the jet's in the carb's.The carb's are a $100.00 a piece for somebody to clean and rebuild.Sound's like the problem you have.Get the seller to pay for the repair if he agreed to that.

Star Tron or marine grade Stabil might help. My carbs were rebuilt because I didn't use either and $300 later a have a smooth running, easy starting engine!

If you can find no-ethanol unleaded, you might want to use that. I don't put ethanol in anything I own, from the weedeater to the '69 F250.
