First trip to local lake with my boy this season

Finnally got out to our local lake with my 9yr old son . We did ok wind was a little bit of a problem later in the morning. caught 15 good keepers . I wont keep anything unless its 9 1/2 " trying to let the population grow some . Wish all others that fish this lake would do the same , but i guess you cant control it unless there is a size limit! Got to use my new Lowerance di and gps WOW i love it! Had my old Hummingbird 565 running as well and kinda used it as an aid . Any place i found brush i could see fish relating to it. Very little structure in this lake except were the duck blind stakes are . Brush from these Duck blinds has built up over the years and fish were very close or on top of all the piles of brush. Water temp was 64 most fish were suspended at about 12-15ft in 20 fow. Used a clear blue and sparkle tube on 1/8th oz jig. Water was gin clear also. Felt good to put my electronics and all the info i got from Birdman together and be successfull!!!
Was kinda funny people were coming by me asking what i was doing different from them ,they had seen me driving back and forth and throwing markers and then catching fish!! Alot of people on this lake beat the banks and dont fish structure i guess. Maybe i will be a trend setter !! And yes i forgot the camera !!
