Color and Depth

Good Morning everyone, will be heading to Shelbyville in about an hour with son and grandson, have never fished it for crappie, but won't be able to say that tomorrow. If any of our many wonderful experts on the lake are reading this (yes that does have a kissing up ring to it) I'm looking for color and depth, I think my son wanted to put in at whitley or bo woods (not sure where or what that is) and go from there, any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

I plan on finding wood on the main lake, in around 12 FOW and going from there, going to be a great day on the water stay dry and be blessed

I would look for brush or standing trees in 8-10 ft of water starting off. If the sun comes out the will probably move to the 4-6 ft range. Maybe try a few different colors to see what's working best.good luck

I would like to think this cooler weather will move some of those fish close to bank back off a bit. 8-12 fow is good. Don't be afraid to try shallower though. White/chartreuse, yellow chartreuse and straight chartreuse are what has been good for me lately.

Thanks everyone, we limited out, 30 overs and 15 unders, had a great morning, found the color/depth not sure of the location, was in the sons boat and it was someplace he had seen someone catch Crappie out of last year. got the pattern quick, started around 8:30 or 9:00, and was finished by noon. the primary color was red and chartreuse lake fork minnow fished at about 10 inches.
