HB 597ci HD DI snapshots... TM mounted tranducer

Heres some snapshots from today while fishing using my HB 597ci HD DI. It is mounted on a Minn Kota Powerdrive V2 and as you can see the returns are pretty good with no interfernce. Still tweaking it and figuring out all the features,but so far I love this unit...well worht the money I spent on it and the Navionics card for it.Attachment 85777Attachment 85778Attachment 85779Attachment 85780Attachment 85781

So your saying that there's interfernce in the shots? I am still learning how to use this unit and.. thought that interference from the pictures I have seen was large vertical lines.

sorry,just looked again.i see the interference in the 2d sonar to. good shots though

yes,in the last picture above that has the split screen 2d/di in the middle of that shot on both the 2d and the di you can see were you briefly stopped using your trolling motor and the interference stopped.

Ok, any suggestions on a fix or do I have to just deal with it. Damn, I thought I had something good going on.

in this picture im running my trolling motor at slow speed.if you look at the bottom of the picture there a little rf, but not bad.this using 800khz with a motor guide digital tour series trolling motor with transducer mounted on the bottom of the motor. i had to fiddle with things awhile to get the interference were i was satisfied with it. good luck

Thanks, I need to reroute my transducer cable since I ran it throught the power cord of the TM, like my old unit. I'll try that and if that doesn't fix it some, I'll go to the next steps I read about.

I have my sensitivity at 12 and my contrast at 10 and the sharpness at meduim...I'll also play with those settings. Thanks again for the help.

I think I have to problem if not fixed at least reduced at lest 90%. I rerouted my transducer cable, installed a pair of chokes on the TM power cord and ran a 18 guage wire from the TM mount ring wrapping around the transducer wire then splicing into the negative wire on the sonar unit.
I was getting noticable RF/TM noise on the sonar during "dry runs" and after doing all this I do not have any while running the TM through speed setting 1-4. I will not get to test it on the water until Monday on the water since I am working this weekend...will update after a "wet" run then.
