Redears

I'm not much on bream fishing . I perfer crappie and then cats , but friends love bream. I have a friend that loves bluegills or did.;) We went to Harris brake and did terriable today. Then went on to Conway and did OK. My buddy loved to catch bluegills till today. We did'nt keep any , after we got on the redears ! :) We kept 21 and they were 9 to 11'' . We caught plenty of gills but after a few redears , it was disappointment when they hit.:D

Sounds like you're a bream fisher now :)! Yeeehaw! Yes Shellcrackers are fun strong fighters and good eating :D. The big boys are real fun. No reason to stop gill fishing though, especially when that wiley old 2lb. plus mature Bluegill with faded stripes makes a rare mistake and bites your line :D. We all get skunked from time to time, even on Shellcrackers.
