Lindy Spinner Jig
I was watching Bill Dance Outdoors this weekend, and he was using a Lindy Jig Spinner set up with a tubed jig. It was quite interesting as he was catching fish while casting towards stump piles... He would cast out about 15 - 20 yards and let it sink for 5 seconds, jig up and then reel in a couple cranks. I know that most of these lakes he fishs on, are prime spots! Come on! It's Bill Dance! My question is... Can this rig be used effectively for drifting or simple jigging? I purchased some this weekend for my trip to Reelfoot with anticipation of using it while drifting... Maybe as a quick exchanger for the jigs I've tied... Do you think it's a good idea? Here's a jig I've recently tied up! 1/16 oz. Red/Chart/Chart with a Lindy Spinner...

Basically the old Beetle Spin!!! You can use any jig you want on it, jig it and cast and retreive whatever. Just try different retreives until you hit on what they want and ENJOY!!!!!!!

Most any spinner jig/bait will catch fish and it helps a lot to have the right color jig and blade sometimes can make a difference.

The blade helps to stay at a certain depth, and if the rig is set up right, some will helicopter when the retrieve is stopped. That's deadly. Different size blades vibrate different and while a nickle size will get an occasional hit, the tiny one will drive em nuts and you'll hammer them. I have a small Plano box with different sizes and colors. Painting the old ones keeps em going a while longer. You could powder paint them too, and get some nice looking stuff. A stick on eye is on a lot of factory offerings now also. Another thing is Bass of different varieties love em, so you get some "surprise" fish.
