Toronto
Fished the river today.Still crazy wind. But did manage to catch 10 today.Only 5 keeper crappie 12"-14.5" and a few shorts and white bass. The water temp was 65 and the water looked pretty good for the river. All fish came out of big log jams in 6' of water. The shorts came in the same depth outside of the jams.I think it could of been a lot mo betta if it wern't for the wind, couldn't hold the boat long enough to pick though it real good. It's the best bite I've had on Toronto for a while.Using Southern Pro chartreuse tube tipped with a minner.3 other boats went up from the ramp and either did good or bad fast and left.I fished from 10am to 5pm.Caught all mine down just past the old bridge a little.:fish :dono Attachment 85414Attachment 85415Attachment 85417Attachment 85418

We fished Fall River both the river and lake this weekend and found one brush pile in 6ft of water that produced about 25 crappie. Nothing much anywhere else and they are not on the banks there. Fishing was not great and the size was all average fish.
After this rain they may be spawning in the campgrounds at Fall River. We did have a great day at Eureka City lake full report on our website.

Springhill Duckman - My first and only trip to Eureka was about a year and a half ago in the fall, same keeper to dink rate as you experienced, and also really didn't have to go farther than 20yrds from the boat ramp to find the crappie. Brushpiles we found weren't holding fish that day. I love those small lakes for crappie fishing, even though they have a lot of small fish.
kingfish - Sorry for hijacking your thread. I'm guessing you used the boatramp on the verdigris, and didn't travel up there from the main lake. Need to go check that area out someday.
