So I posted a question the other day about downloading gps coordinates onto the unit and making waypoints from the coordinates instead of dropping a waypoint out on the lake. I went into create a waypoint and put In the coordinates and it seem to work. But when I cycle the power to the unit and get back into my waypoints, only half of the ones that I created from the coordinates are still there.... What would cause this problem?
Was this done while on the water or with the unit powered inside the house (garage or whatever)?
Did you save each waypoint individually?
What version 798 do you have and what software version are you running?
Are you in simulator mode?
I own a humminbird views so I can look at my unit in the house.... My software is up to date and I was using normal mode. I fiddled with it again last night and changed the icon on each waypoint to something other then default icon and and it seemed to work and everything saved on it... Weird I don't know why it is acting like that.... But now when I try to export all my nav data it tells me it fails... I am using a 2gig card.... What would be the cause of this?
What do you mean what version of the 798 do I have?
