Ill be heading down at the end of the month, would like to know if it will be to late for morels, I will be at spring camp if you would like to talk and finding them.

I've heard of them but can't help, i hate mushrooms anyway. Sorry.
Jim that might be a bad idea...I heard the Sasquatch guard them like a honey hole down there. :yikes
I have been out looking the past few days. Still too early. They should be coming up all over by next weekend. You will probably be here just in time. Nothing better than fried slabs and morel mushrooms, and even a little wild turkey breast to go with it.
I would be all in for some morels, if somebody knows a good place ti hunt em.
anywhere there are a lot of Elm, ash and sycamore trees. Especially around dying Elm trees. I found several at Bell Slough last year. Just have to watch out for those copper moccasins
The UP of Michigan had lots of them...last time I was in that country.
JFK park on the Little Red River gets a lot of them. I used to go camp that time of year and walk through the woods aroun the campground and find them.

I hope they grow bigger then they do up north, I tend to walk by them, lol
